Maria Ximena Pineda

I'm Maria, a Colombian writer and Spanish teacher based in Chicago. With a background in Literature and an MFA in screenwriting, I've spent more than 10 years helping adults learn Spanish, not through memorization and grammar drills, but through real conversation and a genuine love of language.

I've always been fascinated by how people, especially adults, actually learn to speak a new language, and every lesson I teach is built around you: your goals, your pace, and the reason Spanish matters to you..
